The non-profit organization EPCglobal who is chartered to drive standards for RFID technology approved the EPCglobal UHF Generation 2 (G2 or Gen2) specification in December 2004. AWID support this protocol and many others (ISO Type B/C, EPC Class 1 Gen 2) in our readers, modules and handhelds. The ratification of the EPC C1 G2 standard showed global maturation in the RFID industry and helped to make many applications a reality, such as Portals, Smart shelves, Inventory control, Document tracking, Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) and many others. AWID’s Ultra High-Frequency Solutions provide a full line of Asset Management products, including Readers, modules, antennas, development kits and handheld units.
